What You're Doing Today (and Tonight): Dec. 25

A family-friendly party, a winter wonderland and a native son DJ comes home

CHRISTMAS WHO? If Christmas isn't on your must-celebrate list, check out "Something Else: A Community Festival" at the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies in the Loop today. The day of family entertainment features arts and crafts workshops, a chess tournament, live performances, food and more. Entertainers include fire-eater and juggler Bobby "Circus Boy" Hunt and jump rope stuntman David "Rope Warrior" Fisher. 10AM-4PM, $10 per family, canned food donations are encouraged.

WINTER WONDERLAND: Visit the Clearbrook Wonderland of Lights at Arlington Park Racecourse tonight. This fourth-annual drive-thru display features hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights, an "Elf Toy Factory" scene and "The World's Largest Light Tunnel." 5:30-9PM, $10 a car (proceeds benefit people with development disabilities supported by Clearbrook).

A DJ SAVED MY LIFE: Chicago-born DJ and producer Lil' Louis will be throwing down at Crobar tonight in honor of his double CD "Two Sides to Every Story" AND his book "A Man's Diary." Dude's been busy. Your entrance price gets you a copy of both -- it is Christmas, after all. 10PM-4AM, $25.
