What You're Doing Today (and Tonight): Dec. 27

A bike tour through Logan Square, a pre-NYE party and My Morning Jacket

BORN TO RIDE: Take advantage of weather in the 50s today (and hopefully avoid any thunderstorms) by taking part in the Logan Square Winter Bike Tour. You'll visit landmarks like the Logan Theatre, the Congress Theater and St. Mary of the Angels Church. 1PM, free.

PRE-NYE: Leave Dec. 31 to the amateurs and celebrate a pre-New Year's Eve party at DeLaCosta. Buddha Ball 2009 brings you samba dancers, a bikini fashion show featuring female and male models and three DJs spinning Mediterranean, Latin, Indian, house, hip-hop and club anthems throughout the sprawling space. 10PM-3AM, $10, RSVP required to hamed@mamuevents.com.

JACKET REQUIRED: Unique freak rock band My Morning Jacket is making good on its canceled October shows (due to singer Jim James tumbling off the stage during a show in Iowa) at the Chicago Theatre tonight and tomorrow. If you had a ticket to those concerts, they will be honored, plus you might be able to still snag tix. 7:30PM, $39.50.
