Weekend: Rock Out at Rocktoberfest

PROST! Downtown's Rock Bottom Brewery hosts its first "Rocktoberfest" celebration on Saturday, an all-inclusive fest that features handcrafted brews, German fare and live polka music. Guests receive a complimentary 16-ounce sampling stein to get you through the afternoon, while coating your stomach with a buffet that includes knockwurst, reuben bites, spaetzle and German potato salad. 12-5 p.m., 1 W. BOY BARGAINS: The Denim Lounge hosts a shopping event Friday night that even dudes can relate to. The male-friendly event features brews from Half Acre Beer Company, sexy female models parade around in lingerie from G Boutique and 25 percent off all the denim in the store. Those models will also try on some jeans to help you pick out some styles for your girl -- which makes us wonder why you're hanging out and ogling lingerie-clad models in the first place. 6-9 pm, 43 E. DANCE FEVER: Impress your friends and perhaps make some new ones by learning how to master the hottest dance craze out there, Cali Swag's infectious single "Teach Me How to Dougie." MUSSELL IN: Italiasia's Chef de Cuisine Johnny Foster leads a new monthly cooking class series every second Saturday of the month. Saturday's class feature an Italian seafood theme and pairs select items with the restaurant's menu with specialty wines. Guests experience the creative process while doing plenty of sampling. BOOM BOOM POW: Burlesque star extraordinaire Michelle L'amour presents The Big Sexy Show on Saturday, featuring a vaudevillian experience that features belly dancing, a man of strength, Russian acrobatics, a sultry cabaret singer and of course, sexy strip teases L'amour and her Chicago Starletts. 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Mayne Stage, Tickets $15

SOUL BROTHERS: Hipsters and music lovers flock to the Empty Bottle once a month for the Windy City Soul Club party. FASHION FORWARD: PAVE and Lather Chicago present the third annual Fear No Fashion event on Sunday at the Cubby Bear, featuring models, dancers, performance art. Featured designers include Borris Powell, Wanda Cobar, Crescendo Apparel and Anna Hovet.
