A 27-year-old woman who crashed her car on Interstate 80/94 in NW Indiana on Thursday was driving on a suspended license, police said.
The woman's 10-year-old daughter was critically injured in the crash, and had to be cut from the vehicle.
The mother, Tashanda L. Willis, drove off the road, smashed into a concrete barrier, then went back onto the road and into the path of a semi-trailer, police say. The car was wedged under the big rig's trailer and dragged more than 200 feet.
