Tracy Morgan Hits the Improv

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
"30 Rock" funnyman (and, er, somewhat unpredictable standup) Tracy Morgan takes the stage at Schaumburg's Improv Friday and Saturday for a few laughs, a hint of damage control, and a rousing game of "Take Something Behind the Middle School and Get You Pregnant." Fun for the whole family! $40 tickets available here. 10:15 p.m. Friday; 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

SATURDAY
Disco revivalists/LCD Soundsystem pals Holy Ghost! finally put out their first LP this year, and it's a doozy, surely one of the year's best dance platters and unquestionably the finest Michael McDonald project since Paul Rudd in 40 Year Old Virgin. They hit the Double Door Saturday alongside Jessica 6, featuring Nomi Ruiz of Hercules & Love Affair. $12 tickets available here. 9 p.m.

SUNDAY
Classic Chicago documentary Hoop Dreams, about two basketball-playing teenagers' sporting chances in the world of post-high school roundball, screens Sunday at University of Chicago's Doc Films. It's a long one, but man, is it ever good. $5 tickets available at the door. 7 p.m.
