HOT STUFF: Jake Melnick's Corner Tap steps into the world of Major League eating tonight with the XXX Wing Eating contest. It all kicks off at 6 p.m. with the media competition, as the contestants try to eat as many of Jake's signature XXX hot wings as they can in 5 minutes. The wings are made with two of the hottest peppers in the world, the Red Savina Habanero and the Bhut Jolokia. Then it's time for the main event, featuring the #3-ranked eater in the world and Chicago native, Patrick Bertoletti. We're talking about a guy who holds a world record for eating 275 jalapeno peppers in 10 minutes. The winner gets $1,000 and free wings for a year, although we'd guess that it would take at least that long before anyone would even to get a whiff of a wing after going through that experience. 6 p.m., 41 E Superior St., NO COVER
BEER PONG: Forget pool and darts, ping pong is the new rage at your local nightspot. At least that's the case at Market Bar in the West Loop, who's hosting its grand opening party for Let Lounge, a dedicated spot in the West Loop hot spot for table tennis. Tonight's party includes a hosted bar, passed apps and a tournament with prizes. The 2,500 square foot enclosed outdoor lounge is located inside the beer garden, which will create the need for the ultimate bar trick -- balancing a beer in one hand and a paddle in the other. 7 p.m., 1101 West Fulton Market, RSVP here

Gran Centenario Tequila is in the spotlight tonight.
