312 Dining Diva reports that Chicago may get a snazzy new food hall next year, courtesy of Boston-based celebrity chef Todd English. Apparently, he is looking to create a larger version of his NYC Plaza Food Hall, complete with a wine bar, demonstration kitchen, sushi bar, bakery, charcuterie station, and market. "I love Chicago," English told 312DD. "I was once offered a job by Rich Melman more than 20 years ago here, but it wasn't the right time." English is allegedly looking to open a 10,000 square foot food hall in the lobby of an as-yet-undisclosed (but reportedly swanky) Gold Coast hotel in the summer of 2011. [312DD]
