Today’s Forecast: Another Very Windy Day

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, quite windy and cooler than recent days. Highs between 45 to 50 north of I-88, and 50 to 55 south of I-88.
Winds will increase in strength through the day, traveling between 20 to 30 mph in the early morning to upwards of 50 to 55 mph through the afternoon. Wednesday evening will be partly cloudy and turn colder. Tonight temperatures drop into the 20s inland to low and mid 30s in the city and Northwest Indiana.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory that will go into effect at 9 a.m. and remain until 6 p.m. for the entire metro Chicago area and most parts of Northwest Indiana. Wind gusts to 45 and 55 mph expected.
