This Weekend: Do Division

Plus, Maifest, Moustache Bash and pigging out

It's time to take the party outside.

When it comes to the neighborhood street festival, no city beats Chicago. Each event offers its own distinct personality of the neighborhood's residents and businesses, particularly the restaurants and bars.

Take, for example, Do Division Street Fest, which goes down this weekend on 10 solid blocks in Wicker Park.

In addition to all-day concerts by local bands like Rego and Cory Chisel & the Wandering Son, but the 312 Dining Diva suggests hitting the unique deejay party, Bass Bubbles and Beats. It's set inside the Wicker Wash Car Wash with a number of deejays from Evil Olive spinning.

Look for especially large crowds for Saturday and Sunday's headliners Hood Internet and Yacht (see full lineup here).

Here's what's going down the rest of the weekend:

MOUSTACHE BASH: Channel your inner Joel Quenville by joining hundreds of mustachioed friends for a bar crawl to benefit Children's Memorial Hospital on Saturday. The Mustache Bash hits several Wrigleyville bars like Rebel, John Barleycorn, Moe's Cantina, Sports Corner and more. There'll be plenty of drink specials along the way. 1-9 p.m., $10, register at Rebel.

PIG OUT: Hit up Dunlays on the Square's sidewalk patio Saturday for an old-fashioned pig roast. Sixteen bucks gets you all the pork you can eat, including pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, housemade BBQ chips, coleslaw and cornbread. Rock cover band The Kingfish will perform. Noon - 5 p.m., 3137 W. Logan Blvd

GOT GERMAN? Take a trip to Europe without a passport by hitting up Maifest through Sunday. Enjoy German food, German beer, German entertainment -- in short, German everything. FRI-SUN, Lincoln and Leland Avenue
