The Summer of Hefe-Hawks-Win?

How does one electronically roll their eyes? While we're right there with the rest of Chicago in our current Hawks Mania, we can't help but give a serious thumbs down to the winning entry for Goose Island's "Name Our Hefeweizen" contest: "Hefe-Hawks-Win," courtesy of Romie Gibly. Sure, it looks sort of witty in text, but don't forget that this will be awkwardly ordered on tap, as opposed to the much simpler  variations of "Hawkweizen" and "Hawkeweizen."

A Hawks reference was a definite shoe-in, but after sifting through the 190 entries, we couldn't help but notice these picks:

"While Matilda is a classy name, and this seems more like a working class beer, I say call it Hank." - Zack07

"When I was a kid, back in Nebraska, my dad used to wisecrack when we were all wild and call us 'weisenheimers.' So how about Weizenheimer, with a z just to be different?" - Tom Van Housen

"Goose Island "Hefe-ner" in honor of the original Chicago Hef, Hugh Hefner." - Justin Riegsecker

"O'Leary's Heifer Weizen." - TechMan

Love it or hate it, you can try the coveted brew this Wednesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Clybourn Brewpub for the Goose Island and RedEye/Metromix Tweetup party, featuring complimentary Kim & Scott's Pretzels and pub chips, and 22 oz. pours of the "Hefe-Hawks-Win" for $7. The first 100 guests get an original Goose Island "Hefe-Hawks-Win" t-shirt, to commemorate the experience or something.
