This sweltering summer heat is prompts most women to figure out a way to get the hair off our faces -- asap.
And as luck would have it, you now can get your hair off your face and into a whimsical braid with Maxine Salon’s brand new braid bar.
Stylist Cliff Freeman says with the increasing popularity of braids this season, launching the new concept at the Rush Street salon was a no-brainer.
“The fashion world has brought braids back to life in a more sophisticated manner," says Freeman. “I like to think of braiding as the new blowout! They are faster, cheaper and can last just as long, if not longer, than a great blow dry. Playing around with the textures of braids distinguishes them from being childish to something more artistic and fashionable.”
The new braid menu features an array of different braids and looks starting at $30 on as-is dry hair.
After all, who wants to sit under a hair dryer when it's 100 degrees out?
