If you're looking for a respite from all that holiday shopping on the Magnificent Mile, Rush Street's Le Colonial would love to lure you inside.
The French-Vietnamese restaurant has new holiday hours and specials available at their upstairs bar.
Starting Friday, the bar will open early at 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday until the day after Christmas.
A special prix fixe menu is also available exclusively at the bar -- $35 for 3-courses and items such as the Cha Gio (crisp spring rolls of shrimp, pork and Asian mushrooms, with chili lime dipping sauce) and the Bun Thit Nuong (thinly sliced barbecued pork over angel-hair noodles with mesclun greens and lime garlic vinaigrette).
Wine pairings are $15 more, which is probably a good idea. A little liquid courage never hurt anyone when you're that shopper next to you over that special deal.
