The winter months in Chicago can be a brutal time for anyone who has to brave the elements, but also for hotels, which typically see a drop-off in business after the holidays.
So it's not surprising to see room prices being slashed. To wit, the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza has announced a $103 room and parking special, a good deal seeing as parking itself ordinarily runs you $33 a night at the hotel.
The hotel, located in the Merchandise Mart, also offers Italian/Asian fusion restaurant Italiasia and breathtaking views from Cityscape Bar.
The special is good through April 4 if you use the booking code ISHD1.
Other downtown hotels appear to be getting in on the action as well, offering packages for as low as $79 a night, including:
