Killer Dinners

Stardust nightclub unveils murder myster series

The mystery of "what ever happened to Stardust nightclub" was solved earlier this year when the legendary downtown hangout reopened in the suddenly happening western suburb of Downers Grove. Now, Stardust's ambitious owner, Reggie Benjamin, has added another draw to lure clubbers to the 630 -- an interactive murder mystery series dubbed "Killer Dinners."

Taking place in Stardust's swanky private event space every Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., the Killer Dinner events will kick off with a cocktail reception-cum-crime scene. At 7 p.m., guests are seated for dinner while the mystery unfurls. Definitely not for the shy, guests become part of the action as a detective questions "suspects" and scans the room for "evidence." At the end of the dinner, guests fill out a police report based on the investigations, and a guilty party is named. Prizes are awarded to the super sleuths who determine the correct killer and well as those who give the evening's more memorable performances.

Tickets to Killer Dinner events are $60 per person, and reservations can be made by contacting 312-278-3124 or info@killerdinners.com.
