NW Indiana Clobbered by Lake Effect Snow

Moderate to heavy lake effect snow continues across Porter and Eastern  Lake counties of Northwest Indiana early this morning.  Snow could fall between 1 to 3 inches per hour....with much o the area accumulating a total of 2 to 4 inches.

The National Weather Service says local amounts could be in excess of 6 inches.  A lake effect snow warning means significant amounts of lake effect snow are forecast that will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
