Millenium Park hosted a couple of unusual groups over the weekend: Zombies and Santas.
About 100 people dressed in their zombie finest for some Sunday ice skating in an event widely publicized on chicagozombie.com. The site is for "zombie news within 50 or 100 miles of the Chicago area," said Jess Valandingham, 20, of Park Forest.
The number fell far short of organizers' plans to set a record for "Zombies on Ice," but zombies remain a hot item, the Sun-Times reported.
"Anybody can be a zombie. You just need makeup," said Joe Penn, 19, a Harper College student at Sunday's event.
A worker at the rink said the zombies were a better crowd than the drunken Santas who showed up after a pub crawl Saturday night.
