Sixteen-year-old Chinese and sushi restaurant Shine is moving from its original location on Armitage Avenue to 756 W. Webster Ave, the former O'Fame location. Owned by husband and wife team Jeff Zhang and Sandy Yu (Rise and Farmerie 58), Shine is set to re-open on Friday, March 20.
The new digs are spacious, holding 80 seats within three rooms to house the bar, dining areas, private dining room and sushi bar. Shine fans need not worry; the Chinese and Japanese sushi menu won't change much; you can still get the favorite staples like salmon tartare and lemongrass chicken. New items like Hong Kong steak and Shiro miso glazed salmon might become new favorites. The new Shine will introduce a weekend brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
