Say Happy Second Birthday to Sepia

The white-hot West Loop restaurant turns two in grand style

Sepia is one of those rare gem restaurants that don't come around every day. Its seemingly effortless appeal stems from a just-hip-enough atmosphere, an accessible-yet-creative American menu that focuses on seasonality, coveted classic cocktails and a genuinely charming owner in Emmanuel Nony. This just-right recipe has resulted in a restaurant that people still flock to, two years after its grand opening.

Commemorate Sepia's second anniversary this Monday, July 27 with a special celebratory menu. The dinner will highlight Sepia's new chapter, which includes chef Andrew Zimmerman and wine director Scott Tyree. The evening will offer one menu, starting at 6:30PM for a festive cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception in the lounge, with dinner following in the dining room at 7PM.

Menu highlights include a torchon of foie gras with baby arugula from Shooting Star Farms served with pickled apricots and Marcona almonds; grilled Swan Creek Farms pork tenderloin with smoked peaches, bourbon and Three Sisters Farm grits; Gunthorp Farms duck breast with sour cherry marmalade, chanterelles and baby leeks; and a raspberry-and-cream cheese crepe with mixed berry compote. Each course will be paired with a different wine. Sure sounds like a great birthday party to us.

Sepia's second anniversary menu is priced at $95 per person. Call 312-441-1920 to make your reservation.
