Rush Takes Time Machine to United Center

Rush Job: For sheer spectacle, you can't beat Canadian prog-rock mainstays Rush. Tonight, they'll bring the cavalcade of mountainous drums and squeaky voices they're calling the Time Machine tour to the only room in town that could possibly contain it: the United Center. Tickets for all four (!) tiers of this monster show are still available here, so grab your fact checking 'cuz and decide just how close you can get to Neil Peart without passing out. $46-$126. 7:30 p.m.

Not Quite Flipadelphia: You say there's a Nightman? And he's sneaky and mean? Some sort of spider inside your dreams? If you've got any idea what we're on about—and we're only half sure ourselves—you're probably gonna love Ginger's Ale House, who'll hold an "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" trivia night tonight. Local theatre troupe Project 891 will host the evening, and your $5 donation will go to help fund their third season. 7:30 p.m.

Tap That: Tonight at the Museum of Contemporary Art, artists Amber Ginsburg and Lia Rousett will be doling out a most unlikely accessory for the typically placid museum setting: tap shoes. They're there to put on "Viewing Soundscapes: Tapping the Audience," their new interactive work driven by the sound of that old soft shoe. The installation kicks off today and runs through the 17th, but since MCA's free on Tuesdays, tonight's a good bet. Hope you've got decent socks on. 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Going out can be a gamble, so why leave it up to chance? Stack the deck every day by peeping Play's Dance Card.
