Royal Gown Lookalike Already on the Way

Belle Vie Bridal Couture is wasting no time in updating its inventory after this morning's royal wedding. This morning, the Oak Street shop owner Amanda Bonnell told The Feast that she has already ordered a new dress that is "extremely reminiscent of Kate's."

The gown in question, by Romona Keveza, certainly does have some strong similarities to Kate Middleton's gown, which was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen—most notably the long, handcut lace sleeve and overall silhouette.

A few things they don't have in common: availability to Chicago shoppers, and a potentially accessible price point: the Keveza gown is $4,800 while Kate's gown was a touch more like $48,000.

Bonnell says she placed the well-timed order after seeing it earlier this month in a show in New York.
