4 People Sent to Hospital After Bounce House Hits Utility Pole

Four people were taken to local hospitals Saturday after a bounce house was blown over by strong winds in Rockford, fire officials said.

According to the Rockford Fire Department, the incident occurred Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of Hemlock Lane. A bounce house was set up at a residence and blew over when strong winds swept through the area as part of a cold front.

The bounce house eventually rolled into power lines and a utility pole, knocking it down and causing injuries to the individuals inside the structure.

According to officials, none of the injuries reported in the incident are considered to be life-threatening. There was no immediate word of the extent of the injuries.
