Rockettes Kick Off Sharing It Day Food Drive

The Merchandise Mart Hosts the 26th-Annual Benefit

An annual holiday tradition in Chicago, the Merchandise Mart will once again host the "Sharing It" Day Food Drive on Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festive event will include appearances by the Radio City Rockettes, multiple choirs and more holiday entertainment throughout the day, while people arrive at the south lobby of the Mart to make their donations.

The event kicks off the City of Chicago's annual "Sharing It" food drive program to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The food is distributed to more than 600 agencies across the area, including senior centers, daycare facilities, shelters and food pantries. More than 80,000 pounds of food were collected for the Greater Chicago Food Depository during the "Sharing It" Day food drive last year. Let's see if we can break that record!

Contributions can also be pledged over the phone, or you can arrange to have your donation picked up, by calling 312-527-7600.
