Police have found two children strapped in their car seats that were taken when a delivery woman’s car was stolen Friday in Richton Park.
The woman was making a delivery about 12:20 p.m. with her two infant sons in the rear of the vehicle, police said. When she got out of the car to make a delivery, someone in a blue hooded sweatshirt got in the car and took off with the boys, police said.
The boys were later found still in their car seats in an alley about 2:10 p.m. in Riverdale, police said. The vehicle is still missing.
The children were taken to the hospital to be checked out, police said, but there was no indication that they were harmed.
An Amber Alert was sent out earlier in the day, police said.
