Rednofive Turns 11 With a Blowout Birthday Bash

The River West nightlife pioneer throws itself a weekend-long soiree

Still a go-to spot for Chicago's nightlife cognoscenti, River West club Rednofive is entering its tween years with attitude. "Rock.Rehab.Rednofive" is a weekend-long celebration on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 in honor of the nightlife pioneer's 11th anniversary, replete with a reunion party, live music and a funky fashion show.

The party gets underway on Friday with an A-list reunion party that will get former Rednofive staff, DJs, personalities and regulars together, all of whom contributed to the club's groundbreaking success. Legendary local DJs such as John Curley, Chad Sommer, Chris Walsh, Greg Bauer, Charles Little and Martin "The Boogeyman" Luna will be on hand to spin both old school faves and new club hits.

Take some aspirin before you hit the sack, because the celebration continues on Saturday night with live music from The Gaylords (featuring an all-star lineup from the Chicago rock scene, including members of Kill Hannah, Marvel Kind, Assassins and Knights Like Knives, who will play sing-along '80s hits). The performance will be paired with a sexy, rock-edged fashion show showcasing new looks from local boutique chain Akira's Black Label spring collection.

Both nights will kick off with a reception from 10-11PM, offering Belvedere vodka cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from Chicago catering company Jordan's Food of Distinction to help fuel the anniversary festivities. This is sure to be unlike any other 11th birthday party you've attended.
