Raising the Roof

Attend a Wrigley Done Right rooftop party to help Volunteers of America

The Crosstown Classic -- the legendary rivalry of the Chicago Cubs vs. the Chicago White Sox that plays out right before our eyes every year -- is set to take place at Wrigley Field from Tuesday, June 16 through Thursday, June 18 and at U.S. Cellular Field from Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28. These are undeniably some of the hottest tickets in town, but there's a way you can catch one of the games while helping charity at the same time. The Wrigley Done Right rooftop will host a benefit bash for Volunteers of America, an organization that helps homeless veterans, on Wednesday, June 17 for a 1:20PM match between the North and South Siders.

Volunteers of America's stats show that as many as one in three homeless people in Chicago are veterans. The nonprofit is dedicated to supporting and empowering people through a variety of services, including housing initiatives. You can help show your support by attending the charity event, which is sponsored by MyWrigleyville.com, a social networking site for Wrigleyville residents and Cubs fans, The Loop 97.9FM and Wrigley Done Right.

The party will take place during the Crosstown Classic game on the Wrigley Done Right rooftop (3621-25 Sheffield Ave.), which is located just past the bleachers in right field. The spacious surroundings will host charitable-minded fans for premium food and drinks for two hours prior to the game (starting at 11AM), a raffle and the chance to mingle with local celebs and representatives from Volunteers of America. The festivities then continue for one hour after the game, as well.

Tickets to the Volunteers of America rooftop benefit are $250, and you can get yours by calling 773-388-0500 or emailing sales@wrigleydoneright.com.
