Rahm: Keep My Seat ‘Warm'

Sun-Times reports Emanuel was concerned about his seat too

One day after President-elect Barack Obama's team released their internal report on the contact anyone in the administration had with Gov. Rod Blagojevich, the Sun-Times reports that incoming Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel had a conversation with the governor over one day returning to his Congressional post.

Just after accepting the top post with Obama, Emanuel discussed with Blagojevich the possibility of keeping his congressional seat "warm" for him for a couple of years.

Emanuel has expressed interest in one day becoming U.S. House speaker.  He has not yet resigned from his post as congressman for the Fifth District of Illinois.
