Like your beers hoppy and your beer-fests hassle-free? What a week you're about to have. Wednesday marks the beginning of Quencher's monthlong tribute to American IPAs, while Small Bar's Division location will host a one-day homage to the hop-heavy brew Thursday, August 4.
This Wednesday finds beer-heavy watering hole Quencher's devoting a dozen of its taps to American IPAs. For two weeks' time, they'll offer up six such brews from the upper Midwest, with the other half-dozen given over to West Coast selections. August 17, Quencher's will switch over the taps to a mix of east coast IPAs and brews from the mountains and plains states. Best yet, there's no advance tickets to buy nor membership card to flash, just two dozen tantalizing brews for the tasting. A full list of beers is here.
August 4 finds Small Bar Division hosting their very first IPA Day. From 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., they'll serve up four featured drafts—Port Wipe Out, Urthel Hop-It, Boulevard and Deschutes' White IPA, and Stone's Sublimely Self Righteous—and offer $1 off select IPAs in bottles and cans. As with Quenchers, no reservation's required, although with that many brain-bending hops on offer, you might want to reserve your spot on the sick-day list in advance.
