Put Your Nose in a Book

Northwestern University Library hosts a book sale

In these rough economic times, sometimes it pays to purchase something that isn't necessarily brand-spanking-new. If you need to pick up some gifts, or maybe just want to treat yourself for once, trek up to Evanston for the Northwestern University book sale. Open to the general public today, Friday, May 1 until 4 p.m. and Monday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the sale is held in the Ver Steeg Faculty Lounge of Northwestern University Library.  Peruse 8,000 items including books, CDs, DVDs, periodicals, sheet music and Northwestern University Press overstock volumes.  For your truly scholarly friends, it should be noted that there is a big selection of French history books about the Second Empire and the Third Republic, many of which were published in France. How's that for specific?  You'll also find tomes from African studies, European and American history, Latin American studies, fiction, and a lot more.  Click here for directions to campus.
And if you have some old books you'd like to donate to the library, check out the library's web site for information on how to do that.
