The Chicagoist is reporting that Pontiac Café is closing Oct. 17. The iconic Wicker Park spot known for its great outdoor drinking patio and live band karaoke has long been a neighborhood mainstay. Where will we park it in the summer months and watch all of the neighborhood hipsters and Bucktown Bugaboo-pushing mamas headed to Wicker Park stroll on by?
Unfortunately, The Violet Hour across the street doesn't have outdoor seating. Heck, they don't even have windows. The Blue Line Club Car has sidewalk seating, but it's just not the same. Let's hope that some sort of outdoor dining and/or drinking establishment takes Pontiac's place.
