Police Arrest Man Accused of Peeping Into Carol Stream Residence

An Addison man accused of being a peeping tom was arrested by police in Carol Stream Monday after investigators received a call saying a person was looking into a residence and possibly taking photographs of the people inside, according to a Carol Stream Police Department press release.

Sameer Raja, 37, of Addison "was charged with one felony count of unauthorized video recording, four counts of disorderly conduct-peeping tom, and one count of obstructing a peace officer," according to the release.

When police arrived on the scene late Monday night, the suspect was fleeing on foot, but officers caught up with him and apprehended him.  The officers later found the suspect had a camera phone containing photographs of residents of the house he had been accused of looking into, and also had an array of items in his car including condoms and male enhancement pills, according to the police press release.
