Police Capture Suspect in Oak Lawn Carjacking

Police have arrested a man who allegedly stole a vehicle in the 6200 block of 95th Street on Wednesday. 

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Dwyane Corley of Chicago, was charged Friday with one count of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and his bond was set at $150,000, according to Oak Lawn police. 

Police say that the man who stole the vehice parked it near the intersection of 71st Street and Langley Avenue in Chicago. Authorities discovered the suspect in the vehicle, and he matched the description given by the victim to police officers at the scene of the carjacking. 

Police searched Corley's pockets and found the keys to the stolen vehicle. 

According to police, Corley has two prior convictions for Vehicular Hijacking, and was released on parole just two weeks ago. 

Note: A previous version of this story stated that Corley was arrested in connection with a separate incident in Orland Park and Oak Forest. NBC 5 has since corrected the story.
