Step Up Your Shoe Game

In recent years, the shoe game has been shrouded in such an alluringly flashy cloud of hyped limited-edition releases, superstar collabs, and outlandish pricing that, after a while, it's hard to even remember why you quit your job to camp out in line for those Jonas Bros dunks. Stylishly snapping you back to reality, Pointer.

Started by a group of Londoners reacting against the excesses of the increasingly limited-edition driven sneaker market, Pointer makes stupid simple, vulcanized, clean-lined casual kicks aimed to put a sharp, respectable front on your otherwise wonky feet.

Their newly released Summer line includes sportier options like the Fairbank, a white & grey low-cut, gum-soled canvas/suede sneaker with a padded leather collar, the chocolate all-suede Seeker w/ fat red laces, and the high-top Soma, which rocks a black rose/turquoise dotted print and comes in "charcoal rope", also the name for Kingsford's unsuccessful foray into executions.

Veering into dressier territory are the contrast-stitched Crago, with suede toe and leather quarter; the mid-cut leather/canvas, raw leather laced boat-esque Taylor and the topsider-like canvas Barajas featuring a suede toe and padded collar, just like the one worn by your clinically insane cockapoo.

If you prefer to hide your cankles, there's boot action in the desert-inspired, textured leather and contrast-stitched Cyril, which is not a reference to Saint Cyril because everyone knows the Pillar of Faith and Doctor of the Church totally only collab on dunks.
