Playboy Club Eyeing Early 2012 Relaunch

Should your need for costume-clad, cocktail-slinging ladies not be met by Hooters, the Titled Kilt, or Taco Bell, you'll soon have a new—and, in a way, old–option. Crain's Chicago Business reports that the Playboy Club has signed a licensing deal to open a new location in Chicago, most likely in the space currently occupied by Il Mulino at 1150 N. Dearborn.

Though plans for the new location are still coming together, the Playboy Club would eschew the hotel-or-casino-augmented setups of Playboy's still-new Las Vegas, London, Macau and Cancun locations and keep things strictly focused on the club itself. Once all the paperwork's finished, the Playboy Club would likely open in the first quarter of 2012, and the move would likely mean Il Mulino would relocate next door. The new location's just a few blocks from the Playboy Club's original Chicago locale at 116 E. Walton, which closed a quarter century back.
