Inspired by the recent throwing of a shoe at President Bush's head, a Chicago radio station gave pedestrians on Michigan Avenue a chance to take a shot at Gov. Rod Blagojevich early Monday morning.
WGN Radio morning host John Williams and his colleague Dan Deibert positioned a life-sized cutout of Blago and a box of old shoes outside their Showcase Studio from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and invited passers-by to try their hand at a "Pay to Play" game -- three throws for a dollar.
The event raised funds for the WGN Radio Neediest Kids Fund and gave several anxious citizens an outlet for their growing frustration.
A related game that's recently hit the Web allows those frustrated with President George Bush and his administration a similar opportunity, but can be played in the warm comfort of your home or office. Try your hand at the shoe throwing event, which is apparently growing in popularity.
