Enjoying sports, outdoors doesn't have to break the bank

Everyone seems to be penny-pinching, and there are several ways to enjoy the outdoors and sports-related activities without hurting your wallet.

If Wrigley is your style, the new Captain Morgan Club is offering all kinds of bargains and freebies, including 50 percent off your bill on Monday away games, and free tickets for some lucky Cubbie one hour before every home game.

Not everyone can get to a Cubs game, but restaurants like Ra Sushi has "Fuku Fridays."  Everytime Fukudome hits a homerun: penny sapporos.  Another home?  Penny appetizers.

Fans of the Schaumburg Flyers minor league team can get tickets as cheap as $5 a game this season, and that $5 can go pretty far.  Parking is free, beverages and food are cheap, and the team offers half-priced drinks every Thursday.

Sox fans who head to the field on Monday nights always get half-priced tickets.

Kayacking for $15 up and down the Chicago River with Chicago River Canoe and Kayak has a day rate equal to four hours.  After four hours, they stop charging.  And with four trips, the fifth is free.

More of a land lover?  Keep it on two wheels at Bobby's Bike Hike.  Arguably the best way to see Chicago, it's $35 for two to three hours.
