Out of Work and Looking for Love

It sounds like a country song, but it's a reality for many -- let FastDater help

Looking for love -- and a job? Just because you're out of work doesn't mean you can't be in love. In fact, according to FastDater founder Lisa Lombardi, it's during tough times that we tend to value our relationships most. So, even if you've been unfortunate in the job market, it doesn't mean you can't still get lucky -- one three-minute "date" at a time.

In offering a stimulus package of its own, FastDater will extend one free pass (a $43 value) to unemployed singles for one of the Chicago-based company's local speed-dating parties. The promotion applies to FastDater spring events throughout the Chicagoland area, starting on Tuesday, May 5 with a special Cinco de Mayo soiree at Key Wester in Naperville and continuing on Tuesday, May 12 at Cityscape Bar in River North at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza. Additional events are planned for Northbrook, Oakbrook Terrace and Barrington. Parties feature complimentary appetizers, drink specials and, in the case of Cityscape, discounted parking.

To claim your free pass, you will need to email lola@fastdater.com and tell your sob story ... we mean make your request. No word on if pink slips will need to be produced.
