Oracle Theatre's ‘Disturbed III' is Three Times as Disturbing Than Ever Before

Some people get excited for Halloween chocolate, candy corn and lollipops. Others delight in dressing up as something really cute, really sexy or really bizarre. And then there are those who just want to be scared completely out of their wits.  While the economy is enough to terrify most of us well before Halloween, that’s not the kind of fright we’re talking about here.

Oracle Theatre presents its third year of a production called Disturbed III, a 15-minute performance where the audience remains still while the action pops up around them. This year thrill-seekers are treated to the delightful story of a deranged artist who has turned human anatomy into a “medium of gruesome, surgical sculpture.”

It might be a good idea to go out for pasta another night.

Remaining performances run every 30 minutes, 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Oct. 16-19, 23-26, 28-Nov. 1 at Oracle Theatre, 3809 N. Broadway. Tickets are $9. Visit the official Web site for schedules and online ticket sales; phone and voicemail reservations are not accepted.
