Officer Richard Bolling to Be Released … Sometime Soon

The officer involved in a crash that killed a 13-year-old boy on a bicycle was expected to bond out of jail Monday, but a paperwork snafu held him up.

Officer Richard Bolling was supposed to be released before 6 p.m.  Now it looks like he'll get out some time after 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The victim, Trent Booker, was buried Monday.  More than 200 people attended the funeral, but none were Chicago police officers.

Family members told the Tribune they felt someone from the department should have shown up to offer condolences.
