Mayor Richard M. Daley admitted Friday that mistakes were made during the cleanup of Chicago's first snowfall this week.
According to a Chicago Tribune blog post, Daley said the city received complaints about missed spots on area roads, and "We're taking those complaints very seriously."
Earlier this week, Daley announced the city would be cutting back on snow removal efforts, focusing on major roads rather than side streets. Budget problems led to the cutbacks, the mayor said, but should not affect how the city responds to major snowstorms.
