"It is inevitable that sometimes in a relationship, you will have your heart broken," LeAnn said at the Deer Valley Music Festival on Saturday, according to Us Weekly.
"Sometimes you don't do anything, but sometimes you want revenge. Sometimes you don't, and that's when you just leave it in God's hands and know that He will take care of it," she added before performing her song, "God Takes Care of Your Kind."
On Friday, a source close to Rimes told People magazine the singer and her husband, a dancer, separated a while ago.
"LeAnn and her husband have been separated for quite some time now, but they continue to try and work through their relationship," the source said.
The separation news, which has still not been confirmed by Rimes or her reps, followed a report last week on Tuesday in Us Weekly that the singer was still engaged in an extramarital affair with Eddie Cibrian, her co-star from the Lifetime movie, "Northern Lights."
Cibrian's rep released a statement to Access on Monday evening asking for privacy.
"Eddie is a devoted and loving father first and foremost and the speed bump he and Brandi are experiencing needs to be worked out privately for everyone's benefit," Cibrian's rep said in the statement.
