I have a very deserving nomination for your "Mother's Day Makeover" contest. Julie Lee is one of the most incredible people I've ever met in my life. With all that she does for SO many, I sometimes forget she's a super-mom of four children. What I have noticed is that after she gets up at 3am everyday to take on the world of special needs children around Chicagoland and then comes home to give more of herself to her own family, she isn't left with any time for herself. That's where I'm hoping you can help me out.
Julie is a social worker extraordinaire. She works day in and day out with the "Early Intervention System" of Illinois which targets children 3 years old and under who have very special needs. With her guidance and support these kids & families find the tools necessary to have a better future. In addition, their lives are forever changed just to have the privilege of knowing her. Not only is Julie's career her life's passion, she is the sole bread winner for her family. (A big round of applause to "Super Dad" Tim Lee for being the rock in Julie's life who stays home to take care of their family allowing her to share so much of herself with the world)
On top of everything I've already said, Julie is an incredible friend. Even though our friendship is fairly new, from the moment I met her I could tell she was very special. Little did I know that this new friendship would change my life forever. We have started a not-for-profit this year to spread love and opportunity to those that need it most. We also were able to give a wonderful family in desperate need their first Christmas in America.
I hope that through nominating Julie, I can change her life too. I want her to know how special she truly is and to have some time for herself. She would never do something like this for herself and I hope with your help we can make the kind of difference in her life that she makes in so many others.
