Not only will the weather warm up a bit by Saturday (thankfully), but the Annoyance Theater's production of Frostbite will come to a close. If the movie theaters are too packed for you and yours this weekend, head to North Broadway for an offbeat play featuring Frosty the Snowman. (But this one is for adults only.)
The play twists Frosty's classic story with that of Frankenstein for a new interpretation. (Kind of reminds us of the ugly photos tabloid mags publish when they morph two photos of celebrities to project what their children will look like.)
The plot follows a scientist who builds a snowman to be his companion while he grieves the loss of his wife. When the snowman escapes, he goes on a, um, (how do we put this?) a brain-eating spree.
If you have a penchant for the weird, you'll love it. If not, you'll probably want to wait in line to see Marley & Me.
