If you have kids under the age of 10, chances are good you've heard of Fisher-Price Little People.
And even if you don't have children, you probably had a few retro Little People of your own when YOU were a kid. Remember those plastic little, well, people you could place in plastic cars, buses and houses?
It's hard to believe it, but those lil' guys are turning 50, and there's going to be a big birthday bash in their honor at Brookfield Zoo this weekend.
On Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6, Fisher-Price will present the ''Little People Musical Show,'' with three performance each day at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. in the zoo's Pavilions. The 40-minute live musical show will feature Little People costumed characters singing, dancing and hanging out with animal friends.
Kids will receive a birthday goody bag (while supplies last) that includes a Little People birthday themed activity booklet, commemorative DVD and a birthday crown.
The cost is $2 per person. Reservations are required. Register online or call 708- 688-8000.
