Interior Designer Extraordinaire, Susan Fredman, to Open Store in River North

There would be a lot of ugly living rooms in Chicago if it weren’t for Susan Fredman.

The renown interior designer (and hometown talent) is opening her own store, called At Home in the City, at 350 W. Erie Street on October 31st. This is Fredman's second retail location. Her first store, At Home With Nature, is in Michigan's Harbor Country.

The store is attached to Fredman's studio, and will offer items from her private furniture label, as well as rugs and fabrics created by her staff of designers.

Shoppers have the benefit of consulting with design staff while evaluating a purchase. It’s like shopping with your own personal interior designer. (Who wouldn't love that?)

If you’re in the market to revitalize your pad – or just want to get some design ideas – RSVP for the store’s launch party on October 29th. Part of the proceeds from the event will benefit Designs for Dignity, Fredman's charity that offers free interior design service to nonprofits.

A beautiful home and a better community – it’s all in a day’s work for Susan Fredman.
