There may not be eggnog lattes at Starbucks yet, but don’t kid yourself – fall has arrived and winter is just behind her. Sigh. At least there are the holidays to look forward to. (Yes, mom – we ARE coming to your house for Thanksgiving this year. No, not going to the in-laws again.)
Hmm, you better get off the plane bearing something the fam will like.
We’re thinking sweets from local start-up Katherine Anne confections. We recently tried her caramels and had to hide the box, or risk eating the entire pound in one sitting. Never has local wildflower honey, sugar, vanilla, and cream achieved such gooey greatness. Everything is hand-made and wrapped in packaging that is 100 percent biodegradable and recyclable.
Seriously, do you have any flaws Katherine Anne? Soon mom will be asking, “Why can’t you be more like that darling who makes the sweets?”
