Globe Hosts Early Wedding Party

It was a banner night for silly hat aficionados with insomnia issues. Crown watchers the world over gathered not all that many hours ago to catch a glimpse of the not very well publicized wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and in Chicago, there was no spot with more regal spirit than the Globe Pub. Starting at 4:00 a.m. Chicago time, the North Center outpost hosted wedding garb-clad revelers (and at least one sleepy guy in a blue shirt) who oohed and aahed at Middleton's Sarah Burton-designed, Grace Kelly-inspired gown. The Globe staff poured coffee and mimosas for the standing room only crowd, many of whom took the day off work in celebration.
