Give Your Holidays a Latin Accent

Cuatro Presents a Latin-Flavored Holiday Entertaining Class

Need some fresh ideas for your holiday entertaining this year? Why not serve something beyond your sparkling wine-mini eggrolls repetoire? Head to Cuatro for an inspirational class that will have you muddling mojitos and cooking up crab empanadas in no time.

On Saturday, Dec. 13 from 1-3PM, this South Loop Latin restaurant will teach guests how to make festive cocktails and appetizers for memorable holiday parties. You'll learn how to craft Granada mojitos (a twist on the traditional with pomegranate juice, muddled key limes and mint leaves, sugar cane juice and a splash of soda) and coquinho cocktails (a blend of vanilla bean-infused 10 Cane rum, muddled pineapple, coconut milk and pineapple juice).

Cuatro chef Eddie Jimenez will school you in the art of tasty Latin appetizers, such as empanadas de cangrejo (crab and goat cheese-filled dumplings with pico de gallo and avocado salsa) and pastel de cangrejo (a pan-seared crab cake with mango pico de gallo, chipotle aioli and cilantro).

You'll do in-kitchen prep work and actual bartending in this interactive class, so roll up your sleeves, and jump in! The $30 fee includes a gift bag filled with recipe cards, a mini bottle of 10 Cane rum and a gift certificate to dine at Cuatro. Call the restaurant at 312-842-8856 to reserve your spot.
