Get Ready to Wing It

11th annual Wingfest kicks off Sunday

How many wings can one person possibly eat in a day?

That question is typically answered with varying results at the annual Wingfest celebration, this year scheduled for Feb. 28 at the Baily Auditorium.

More than 30 restaurants are participating this year, including some returning champions such as Mahoney's Pub & Grille which won Best of Fest last year, and Timothy O'Toole's, which took top honors for having the hottest wings.

More than 2,000 attended the poultry party last year, and you can expect at least that many this time around for all the wings you can eat, live entertainment and sponsor giveaways.

Don't forget to say hi to Chicken Man, who's always on hand, and cheer on or compete in the men's and women's division of the "Lord of the Wings" eating competition.

Tickets are $24, or $50 if you want a VIP package with free parking, drinks, and we can only assume, access to all the Pepto Bismol you can handle.

Feb. 28, 1 - 6 p.m., 1340 West Washington
