Five Shot — One Dead — On South Side

An armed robbery and a drive-by within minutes of each other Monday night on the South Side claimed five shooting victims including one man who later died.

At least four men were injured during a drive-by shooting on South Ellis Avenue at about 10:30 p.m., according to police News Affairs Officer John Henry, who said two of the victims were 20 and 39-years-old.

Renauld Darling, 38, was shot at his home and pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Tuesday.
