Former Top Chef Season 4 winner Stephanie Izard's new restaurant, Girl & the Goat, is probably the most anticipated opening of the year, scheduled for sometime this month. The 145-seat restaurant is located at 809-813 W. Randolph St. Here's a peek inside.

Chicago firm 555 International designed the restaurant space. The company's previous projects have included the Playboy Club and Playboy Club and Moon at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The creators say they tried to incorporate Izard's personality into the restaurant. Pictured here is the bar area.

The restaurant boasts rustic and contemporary designs throughout the 7,400 square feet of space. An open kitchen means you can witness Izard's cooking skills with your own eyes.

The bathrooms feature refurbished pedestal sinks and subway tiles. A splash of black lacquer on the oak walls is meant to provide a contemporary feel. Cage-like pendants light the restrooms and provide indirect lighting to the outside hallway through a grill-patterned opening located above the doors. The bathroms also feature frameless mirrors with a beveled edge that includes personal messages from Izard.

The clean and polished lines of the lighting fixtures are meant to contrast the old wood beams on the ceilings and add personality to the space.

The main bar features reclaimed jar lights hanging over it, which also illuminate the antique fireboxes behind the bar which were refurbished and sandblasted to showcase the original cast-iron design.
